Learn to Live Large with the Help of your TV

Do you live a boring life? You work, you eat, and you sleep? Life doesn’t have to be this way, and it doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated to change. You can learn to live a fulfilling life right where you usually are – in front of your television set.

Cooking

Are you tired of fast food? Or even if you’re not tired of the food, your waist is? You don’t need a personal chef, or even a great deal of experience in the kitchen to be able to prepare gourmet, or at least editable meals. The television is your portal to the world of fine dining. There are many cooking shows throughout the day on a variety of channels, as well as an entire network dedicated to food. You can learn how to cook great food using your stove, the grill, or even the microwave.

Watch or record these shows and you won’t even need a cookbook. If you record a good show on Monday, make note of the ingredients, and stop by the store on your way home Tuesday, you are set. Turn the program back on, and prepare your meal along with the online chef. Skip the parsley and ignore the annoying accent long enough, and you might even impress yourself with what you can make.

Exercise

Sitting around in front of the TV will make you fat. But exercising in front of the television will make you less fat. Find a good exercise show you can tolerate, and either watch it regularly or record it, and you are set. No need for video tapes or gym memberships. You can do your thirty minutes of exercise, cool down during the commercials at the end, and plop back down with your ice cream without any guilt.

Another popular option for exercise and the television is to face your treadmill or exercise bike toward the television and go to town. Walk those pounds away while you watch fit people on screen jump around in spandex. What could be more inspirational than that?

Learn

Fortunately for those of us who have enough drama in our lives, there are plenty of programs that have nothing to do with cheating spouses or obnoxious teenagers. Find a show on unusual weather patterns or building motorcycles and you might learn something. New knowledge is crucial to remaining current with the times as well as keeping your brain fully functioning.

Not all reality television is on tropical islands with dead rats. There is quite a bit that can be highly educational. Health, science, and history programs are on around the clock. These shows are highly addictive and fascinating. You probably have no idea how much you don’t know about tattoo artists or bridge building. Can a ceiling fan really cut a head off? Watch and find out.

Drag yourself away from the TV for a couple of minutes, go to your computer and download TV shows so you never miss your favorite show again! Click here to find out more.
